Who I Am as a Coach
I am currently training as a coach through the NHS’s Level 5 Coaching Apprenticeship. My journey into coaching builds on a diverse and fulfilling career spanning law, counselling, and administration, with significant experience in the NHS and international outreach. I bring a calm, thoughtful presence to my work, offering a supportive environment where people feel safe to explore and grow.
Throughout my professional life, I have worked in roles that centre around supporting others—whether that’s helping individuals overcome complex challenges, navigate life transitions, or simply find greater clarity and purpose. Coaching allows me to combine my experience with a structured and reflective approach to personal development. My coaching is grounded in my values of kindness, compassion, non-judgement and respect.
What Is Coaching?
Coaching is a confidential, forward-focused process designed to help you think deeply, make decisions, and take meaningful action. It differs from counselling, which often explores past trauma or emotional issues, and from mentoring or training, which involve giving advice or instruction.
In coaching, you set the agenda. The coach’s role is to provide a supportive, non-directive space where you can explore what’s important to you, without judgment. Through skilled questioning and active listening, coaching empowers you to find your own insights and create positive change.
What Coaching Can Help With
Coaching can support you in a wide variety of areas, including:
- Navigating change or uncertainty
- Clarifying your goals and values
- Building confidence and motivation
- Managing workplace challenges or transitions
- Making personal or professional decisions
- Exploring identity, purpose, or next steps
You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from coaching. Whether you’re facing a big life decision or just feel a little “stuck,” coaching provides the time and space to think clearly and move forward intentionally.
My Coaching Style
I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental, and person-centred approach. I listen with care and curiosity, and I respect the uniqueness of each individual I work with. I strongly believe in people’s capacity to change, grow, and make new choices—at any stage in life.
Sessions are paced to suit your needs, and there are no prescribed limits. Together, we will work in a way that feels meaningful and relevant to you.
Who I Work With
I welcome anyone who is open to reflection, growth, and possibility. Some areas I have particular interest in include:
- Career or life transitions
- Confidence and assertiveness
- Purpose and alignment with values
- Personal development or identity work
- Emotional resilience and self-awareness
My ideal coachees are those who are ready to take ownership of their journey, and who are curious about exploring new perspectives.
Diversity and Inclusion
I bring a deep respect for cultural difference, individual experience, and inclusive practice. My work across different sectors and countries has strengthened my belief in the value of diverse perspectives and the importance of listening with humility.
I strive to create a safe, affirming space for all individuals, regardless of background or identity.
Final Thoughts
Coaching is a partnership. It’s a chance to explore the questions that matter to you—whether they’re big or small—and to do so in a way that is respectful, empowering, and entirely your own.
If you are curious about whether coaching is right for you, the best first step is simply to have a conversation. I invite you to contact me through this platform if you would like to explore that conversation with me.
