TVW CYP ODN Manager (CYP Nurse)
I am an experienced Paediatric Critical Care Nurse with a career that has spanned high dependency, intensive care, and site management. I spent many years developing my clinical expertise before moving into leadership roles within Outreach and as a Paediatric Critical Care Matron. During this time, I was proud to lead the development of a new PCC Outreach Service and to guide teams through significant periods of change in workforce and service delivery, including navigating complex legal and HR cases and the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2020, I made the decision to step beyond the hospital setting to broaden my strategic leadership experience and completed an MSc in Healthcare Leadership. I now work as an Operational Delivery Network (ODN) Manager for the Thames Valley and Wessex Network, collaborating with hospitals, NHS England, and Integrated Care Boards to improve services for Children and Young People — specifically within Paediatric Critical Care, Surgery in Children, and Congenital Heart Disease. My role involves reviewing and responding to quality concerns, supporting service development, and driving sustainable improvement through collaboration and shared learning.
My MSc research focused on leading a multigenerational nursing workforce and how leaders can adapt their styles to meet the evolving needs and expectations of today’s teams. I am passionate about people—about leading, coaching, and supporting others to grow. One of my greatest sources of professional satisfaction comes from helping individuals and teams navigate change and reach their full potential
