Practice Facilitator

I work as a Practice Facilitator at Great Ormond Street within the Graduate Team, supporting Newly Registered Nurses throughout the first 2 years of qualification with clinical skills and core competencies, providing pastoral support, and in a classroom environment. My role also involves leading on several projects, developing content and teaching several programmes including: Newly registered practitioner induction, IV study day, Preceptorship Programme and Graduate Year 2 Programme. My background prior to this was working in paediatric oncology and haematology, as well as international and private patients oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant, although now my clinical work is with nurses across all trust specialties. In my oncology role I undertook several quality improvement projects on the wards relating to the specialty, was a student link nurse, and undertook the Chief Nurse fellowship.
