I am a General Mangement Trainee on the national NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme, selected as one of 200 graduates out of over 30,000 applicants.
My journey into healthcare began with a summer internship with the Performance Analysis Team at NHS England, where I developed a passion for tackling healthcare inequalities and strong interests in digital transformation and leveraging data to drive impactful healthcare improvements.
I have now completed one year in operational management, where I worked as a Junior Operations Manager within Surgical Support Services at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. In this role, I worked withmultidisciplinary teams across a range of sugical specialities to improve efficiency and boost productivity across theatres and the perioperative care pathway. Whilst on the scheme I am pursuing a postgrduate diploma in Healthcare Leadership as part of the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Programme, in partnership with the University of Birmingham and the University of Manchester.
With my background within the life sciences and a strong desire to build my expertise & leadership skills in healthcare management, I am driven to make meaningful contributions in the healthcare sector, with particular interests in digital healthcare and improving the value & access of innovative interventions and medicines within the NHS system.
