CV or ‘curriculum vitae’ is Latin for ‘the story of your life’. It’s a story that stars you alone, so needs to be shown in the best possible light.
Your CV is a fundamental document. Applying for work with a good CV can literally be the difference between your dream job or get rejected. It can open a door for you and get you to an interview which can change your life forever.
Most people will only ever think about their CV when they are looking for a job. It’s obviously pretty important in those circumstances, but it needs to live and breathe between roles to ensure it’s always up-to-date and reflects the best possible version of you at all times.
Where do you want to go in life?
What are your asperations?
What motivates you?
Where do you want to be in 2, 5 and 10 years time?
These are the questions that can help you to build your career, by applying for roles and education which gets you there. Your CV then will show your career path and dedication - will give a great picture of your growth, which organisations will appreciate.
