I am a Law Graduate with a Masters in Law since 2004. I am currently the Head of Operations at Solihull Healthcare Partnership since December 2023. Previously I was Governance and Compliance Manager for another large Solihull Practice. I have been in Primary Care since 2020 and my strong 20 years plus leadership background in Law, Finance and Retail has given me the foundations to be both resilient and dynamic in my leadership style within a continuous improvement environment. 

Within my role I have a firm desire aligned to my values to make a difference, improve access to services for patients, improve how colleagues feel at work and improve sustainability of General Practice. I have a keen interest in ensuring we have consistent processes that make it equitable and substantive to provide services across the locality accessible by all. I am a Health Inequalities advocate and am a voice for the voiceless. I have been an advocate for the women's refuge as well as the asylum patients within Solihull ever since I joined Primary Care.  

During my time in Primary Care, I have been involved in many locality initiatives including the winter access projects as well as Covid delivery programme. I have led many projects to improve Health Inequalities in the hard-to-reach groups with great outcomes. More recently in delivering modern general practice and the recovery plan. I would like to embark upon the MBA Apprentice programme in the coming months. 

I have recently been appointed as the Practice Manager located within the Provider Support Unit which commits to BSOL ICB to the integration agenda. I am looking forward to working and learning from a wide range of stakeholders across the ICS to implement change within organisations and improve expectations from patients. This role will help support locality working and implement the Fuller Review, connecting to our community and providing leadership at place.

Influence: I ahve a rational and moderate approach when entering new situations. I like to weighj options before making a decision and think through alternatives. 

Steadiness: I am a strong team player. I am loyal. 

Compliance: I am creative thinker and can test new ideas against proven standards, I can provide solutions to problems. I am rational in my approach to ensure desired results are achieved in an orderly manner whilst not being afraid to “break the mould”. 

On a personal note, I am married and have two teenage children. I like to spend a lot of time cooking for my family travelling and planning quality family time.
