Associate Director for Safeguarding

I have a long career (spanning two decades) serving in the NHS and help NHS organisations ensure they have a strategic vision and mission for effective Safeguarding of people they serve in their designated population areas. I do this through my role as AD for Safeguarding supporting the Chief Nurse and Deputy Chief Nurse to deliver their legal duties, deliver on the Safeguarding strategy and provide assurance for the NHSE SAAF. I have over a decade of strategic safeguarding people experience, all age contuining care, all age learning disbailities and mental health. I have spent 10 years in my early career in learning disabilities and mental health operations.

I am also a certified Executive Leadership Coach/Trainer and spend time, mentoring and delivering leadership training to emerging leaders on imposter syndrome, working and leading across multi-cultural teams and navigating workplace dynamiques to emerging leaders who identify as coming from a working class or BAME background. This is based on my lived experience of carrying both these labels and research informed leadership training rooted in Positive Psychology.
