Research Nurse

As a clinical research nurse, I lead on a caseload of clinical studies varying in intensity and covering a range of specialties. This involves acting as an on-going resource and providing support for patients and their families involved in research regarding the practical aspects of being involved in research. Daily tasks include administering medications/investigational medicinal products, collecting clinical samples and data, keeping accurate records, liaising with the MDT and external sponsors, and reporting adverse events and incidents in an appropriate and timely manner. It is also within my role to support junior/new staff members and students on the clinical research facility.
