As part of the South West Leadership Academy, I help future NHS leaders to realise and fulfill their potential through work-based placements in health and care across the South West. I work with a huge variety of health and care organisations including acute, community, mental health, primary care and systems to create empowering and stretching leadership experiences for trainees, creating real change and improvement for our communities.
Prior to this, I myself was a trainee on the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme, learning about the breadth of management and leadership roles in healthcare including operational, strategic and project management. Through GMTS, I completed my PGDip in Healthcare Leadership with the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson programme which enabled me to develop my reflection and reflexivity.
I am an accredited EMCC EIA Practitioner Level Coach and Mentor, Everything DiSC Practitioner and about to start my Action Learning Set Facilitator training. I am an NHS England Equality and Diversity Representative, ensuring fair and inclusive recruitment practices. I am also an NHS Ambassador, volunteering at local schools to raise awareness of NHS careers. Additionally, I am a Steward Volunteer with the Royal Voluntary Service, helping a range of organisations to keep their communities safe.
