I wear a number of different 'hats' at work:
1) I am the Infection Sciences Training Lead, supporting training through the Institute of Biomedical Science (various portfolios and certificates in expert practice), the Scientist Training Programme (STP) and Higher Specialist Scientific Training (HSST) routes. I have experience with apprenticeships from level 3 to level 6 and have survived the processes to successfully apply for training accreditation with the IBMS and National School of Healthcare Science (for the STP and HSST training programmes).
2) I am a mentor through the IBMS mentoring scheme and have mentored a number of people from a wide variety of backgrounds and levels of experience.
3) I am staff wellbeing champion, promoting different wellbeing initiatives, including physical, emotional, financial etc., wellbeing.
4) I am a Mental Health First Aider and provide confidential support for colleagues who are struggling.
5) I am our department's Environmental Awareness Rep, promoting sustainability.
I'm quite busy with all of that(!), but I'm looking for different ways to connect with others and work together in networks.
