I qualified as a Children’s Nurse in 2010 and since have consolidated my knowledge in acute and community settings. I became a Sister in 2015 and joined BHRUT in 2017, working across the Children's Directorate. In 2021 I became a Senior Sister.
I have completed my cannulation and venepuncture course and I am competent in these skills.
I have been an EPALS provider since 2016 and recertified in 2021 and 2025.
Qualified as a PNA (Professional Nurse Advocate) in 2021.
Currently working as a Complex Discharge Coordinator facilitating the safe and efficient discharges of BCYP across the Children’s Directorate (NICU & Children’s inpatient wards).
Areas of interest include; mental health and well-being, HDU care, family centred care and collaborative working.
Working closely with; local mental health and eating disorder services, palliative care and hospice teams, and children’s social care.
