EDI Principal Lead- Education and Training
Michail works as the EDI Principal Lead for the Education and Training EDI team in NHS England. He has worked in the NHS for 24 years leading on talent management, diversity and inclusion, staff experience and stakeholder engagement. His career has included a variety of projects such as the development of an Information Standard for Sexual Orientation in Health and Social Care.
Before joining NHS England, he worked as the Equality and Human Rights Manager for the South West Strategic Health Authority and as the Patient and Public Involvement Lead for the Avon Somerset and Wiltshire Cancer Network.
Michail lives in Bristol with his husband Mark and their dog Ralph. He enjoys running, volunteering at big sporting events and the Eurovision song contest – he has attended six live finals. He is passionate about widening LBGT participation in sports.
