About

Clinical Director

I’m the Clinical Director at Willow Wood Hospice, and I’m passionate about making a difference when it matters most. With over 20 years’ experience in palliative and end-of-life care, I’m a nurse and leader who believes deeply in patient-led care, kindness, and creating safe, supportive environments for everyone. In my role, I lead our medical, nursing and AHP teams across both our inpatient unit and community services. I’m responsible for ensuring our care is safe, effective, and grounded in what matters to patients and their families. I am also the organisations CQC registered manager and work closely with colleagues as part of the Senior Management Team to shape strategy, drive improvement, and support the long-term sustainability of the Hospice. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on improving the experience of patients and families by developing thoughtful services, planning for the future of our workforce, and bringing people together to create meaningful change. I care just as much about supporting and developing teams as I do about the services we deliver—ensuring that everyone feels valued, heard, and encouraged to learn. I’ve led the development of compassionate care models, managed services through periods of change, and built strong partnerships across community and hospice settings. I enjoy working collaboratively, solving problems, and finding practical ways to make care more accessible and responsive. I’m experienced in budget management and resource planning, helping organisations of all sizes maximise their impact. Alongside my clinical and leadership roles, I have a background in training, facilitation, and staff development, I love to see others shine! I am also a charity trustee—strengthening my skills in governance, compliance, and mission-driven decision-Making.
