I currently work as the Director of Patient Care for the medical care group in a large acute organisation in Devon. I joined my Trust in 1992 as the first internationally-educated nurse, having moved from France at the end of my training. I was only ever intending to stay 6 months but here I am 33 years later :-) . I have had a very varied career, taking on roles as project manager, service manager for a variety of services before returning to a nursing role in 2016. Alongside my role, I teach on compassionate leadership and mentor staff across the organisation in different roles.
