Talent Timebanking Wins National Our Health Heroes Award for Dedication to a Lifelong Learning Culture.

Recognition for Dedication to a Lifelong Learning Culture.

We are delighted to share that Talent Timebanking has been recognised nationally as the winner of the Dedication to a Lifelong Learning Culture Award, sponsored by iCQ Awards, at the Skills for Health Our Health Heroes Awards 2026.

This prestigious award celebrates organisations and teams that champion continuous professional development by creating opportunities for staff to learn, grow and thrive throughout their careers. It recognises those who foster cultures where learning, collaboration and knowledge-sharing are embedded into everyday practice.

Wilfred Deley, Sapna Subhash, Karen Chummun and Halima Chowe accepted the award on 17 June 2026. Their leadership and commitment have helped shape and grow Talent Timebanking. Most importantly, this award belongs to the community that makes Talent Timebanking possible. Every offer of support, every request for help, every conversation and every shared experience contributes to a culture where learning is not something we consume, but something we create together.

At its heart, Talent Timebanking enables people across health and care to learn from one another, share expertise, build meaningful professional connections and access development opportunities regardless of role, profession or career stage.

Talent Timebanking was created to reimagine learning and development through reciprocity. Rather than relying solely on traditional development pathways, the platform empowers people to both contribute and benefit from the skills, knowledge and experiences that already exist within the workforce. Through coaching, mentoring, shadowing, project support, career conversations and peer-to-peer learning opportunities, members can develop their capabilities while helping others do the same.

This recognition builds on last year's national recognition at the 2025 HPMA Excellence in People Awards, where Talent Timebanking received a High Commendation in the Innovation category. Together, these achievements reflect the growing impact of the platform and the value of creating more inclusive, accessible and sustainable approaches to workforce development.

We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of Talent Timebanking, including all our members, partners, network leads and organisations who continue to champion collaborative learning across the NHS and wider health and care system.

As Talent Timebanking continues to grow, we remain committed to supporting a workforce where everyone has the opportunity to learn, contribute and thrive.

Thank you to Skills for Health, iCQ Awards and the Our Health Heroes judges for this incredible recognition. We are honoured to receive this award.
